One page comic of a boxer being knocked down again and again, but always getting back on his feet. The idea was to explore the relation of words and images. Thus we were expected to write a short poem and subsequently create a one-page comic based on said poem.

The story itself is based on my experiences as a young applicant for acting schools. I had to deal with a lot of rejection and in that periode my father used to call me a “Nehmer” sometimes. A “Nehmer” is what some germans call boxers, who get back on their feet, no matter how often they get beaten down.
